Marimekko Coming to DC Area

unikkobag_big.jpgOpening soon in Silver Spring, MD is the third, and largest Marimekko store in the US. Slated to open late April, the new retail location will carry more than 100 fabric choices and will offer custom home-furnishings and an interior design service. The store will also carry clothing and accessories for adults and children.

Well-known for it's bold, vibrant fabrics, Marimekko was established in 1951 in Finland. The company has always utilized young, talented designers inspired by the beauty of everyday life for it's fabric and clothing designs.

So next time DH has to go to DC you can be sure I will be tagging along. I'll just drop him off and head on around the beltway to Silver Spring for a little browsing...
